Root 66: Road Trip - Creative Direction

This shoot is inspired by my identity as a first-gen American. Growing up, the “American Dream” was everything to me and my family, a utopia of endless possibilities. But as I got older, I would come to face the realities of what it means to be an African-American Woman in America. Root 66 is about reclaiming that identity. America is what it is because of immigrants, because of people of color, because of queer voices, because of all of us who make it a melting pot.
